• Q. Does Window Film go on the inside or the outside of the vehicle?
  • A. This is the number one question we get asked. Window film is cut to fit and formed to your vehicle on the outside of the vehicle. Then a thin protective liner is removed and the window film is applied to the inside of your windows.
  • Q. How long does it take to tint a car?
  • A. Every vehicle is different, some 2 door vehicles take more time than certain SUVs and even though you may tint two Honda Element, one might take less time than the other. The average time to tint a vehicle is between 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the vehicle. Each time we tint a car we take all needed precautions and steps to ensure an excellent final product. Always Cool Window Tint employees take pride in the superiority of our workmanship because of our attention to detail and our desire to make your vehicle look great. Not everything comes out perfect the first time around, so if needed we will take the extra time to replace any pieces of film that do not meet quality standards. This can add to the length of time it takes to complete your vehicle.
  • Q. How dark can I tint my windows legally?

  • Q.How long until I can roll my windows down?
  • A. Always Cool Window Tint recommends keeping your windows closed for 3- 5 days. In colder weather, it takes longer for the windows to cure. Depending on how cold the temperature, 3-5 days should be ample time for the film to dry.
  • Q. My tint is bubbling and scratched can you fix it?
  • A. There is no way to properly fix window film other than replacing the damaged piece. We can remove and replace any damaged film on your vehicle.
  • Q. What can I use to clean my windows with once I have them tinted?
  • A. Once your windows are tinted you can clean them with any cleaning solution that does not contain ammonia. A soft cloth and a mild soapy water mixture works great! We recommend any silicon based glass cleaners, they bring a wonderful streak free shine to the windows.
  • Q. Do you cut the tint on my car?
  • No. All window film is measured using proprietary techniques and is trimmed on a clean glass surface to avoid any possible damage to your vehicle.
  • Q. Do I need to clean my car before I tint it?
  • A. The cleaner your car is, the easier it is for us to give you a perfect tint job. A quick carwash is always a good idea. Keep in mind that we will be spraying water on your windows so it is not necessary to get the vehicle detailed as you may need to clean the exterior of the vehicle once it is done.
